Mama Kat Prompt Thursday: Embarassing Moment!

I'm a little behind the blogging power-curve today---I decided it was a good day to mow the back yard and "vacuum" up all those leaves and pine needles. I did that first.

Anyway---today's Mama Kat prompt challenge is:
"Share an embarrassing moment."
Of course, those are always plentiful.

(Just a photo I found online.)
In my case, I'm just lucky it was so early in the morning, no one caught me.
It was the early 90's and I had decided to do another 2 years of college for my B.A.
I was married then and recently moved to Northwest Florida. I'd already done as many classes as I could do at the local campus extensions and had reached that point where the rest of my required classes were only going to be available on the main campus in Pensacola, which was an hour away.
Another military wife I'd met in a local class was in the same boat, so we decided to car-pool together twice a week for Tuesday and Thursday classes.
That's how I came to be on campus before 8 a.m.
I'd go to the centrally located Student Union building, which had a coffee shop and tables in it's center, where I could amuse myself until my first class. There was a hallway that ran around the building outside this seating area, which is where the restrooms were located, a set on either side of the building.
The trick was---these restrooms were arranged one way on one side, but juxtaposed on the other, meaning the ladies room might be the first before the men's room on one side, but not on the other.
Being a creature of habit, I would normally use only the restrooms on the side where the ladies room was the first door.
However, this particular morning, I just happened to be on the building's other side.
Without even thinking about it, I just automatically turned into the first restroom I came to and walked directly into a stall.
Luckily, no one else was in there.
Then, when I came out, I was still lucky to be alone. I went to the sink to wash my hands. Looking in the mirror to check my lipstick, I observed behind me, on the wall across from the stalls, was a row of white ceramic urinals, which I hadn't even noticed on the way in. and thought, "Strange. When did the ladies room get those?"

Then it hit me. Ladies restrooms don't have urinals!
I was in the wrong restroom!
Appalled and embarrassed, I snatched up my purse and dashed out. Luckily, I never ran into any guys on their way in. It would have been sooo much more embarrassing if I'd been caught, but fortunately, I escaped unnoticed.
As I said, I was very lucky it was still early.

That is too funny. I'm rolling on the floor. That's something I would do and I would even think the same thing... "when did the ladies room get urinals!" I'll remember this one for awhile! Thanks for the good laugh.
