Good Eating Monday: Chunky Basil Pesto Chicken Kielbasa Pasta Sauce

Today's recipe is a random creation of my own:
Chunky Basil Pesto Chicken Kielbasa Pasta Sauce!
It calls for a large can of diced tomatoes instead of a tomato sauce. Just mix it up in a skillet and serve of spaghetti noodles!
Also the Kielbasa for this can be either

Hillshire Farm  Basil Pesto Chicken Smoked Kielbasa
 or
Hillshire Farm Chicken Smoked Roasted Garlic Keilbasa.
I prefer Basil Pesto for the best Italian flavor.
The photo is mine of the this sauce in my iron skillet!

Chunky Basil Pesto Chicken Kielbasa Pasta Sauce
Ingredients:
1/2 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Hillshire Farm Basil Pesto Chicken Smoked Kielbasa, sliced
1/2 cup sliced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
1 cup frozen Bell Pepper strips
1 large 28oz can of Diced Tomatoes with juice
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
Optional: 1 cup frozen broccoli and/or sliced mushrooms

Directions:
In a skillet add olive oil and onion and saute till onion is tender.
Add sliced kielbasa, frozen Pepper strips, garlic, Italian seasoning, can of diced tomatoes with juice and cornstarch, then stir to combine, bring to boil, then turn down to simmer. Let simmer 10 minutes or so prior to serving.
Prepare your favorite pasta according to directions & drain.
Divide pasta and sauce between 4 serving dishes and enjoy with garlic bread! Sauce serves four.

I happened to have 1 cup of frozen broccoli in the fridge when I made this I wanted to use up, but no mushrooms on hand.
Some nice sliced Portabella mushrooms would've been yummy!
