A Showy Front Corner:
It's all the 4 O'clocks that make this corner bed showy! I took the picture when the Easter lilies were in bloom back in April. Since them, some of the young 4 O'clocks in front of these others have matured and today I was adding young Vinca's along the outer edge of the bed in front of them and other places--- I have dozen's of Vinca's volunteers and they transplant readily.



Glad & Gardenia Vase
Because the Gladiola's fall over, I usually pick them as they bloom and fill vases with them. This is a nice hi-style arrangement I made with 3 Glads and a Gardenia low in front.

Have your Turkey yet? I saw frozen Turkeys in passing carts last weekend when we were shopping. Do you cook a whole bird? Bake it? Fry it? Buy one ready-cooked or smoked? Since it's just for myself and my husband, what I do is just a couple Turkey thighs in a slow-cooker, which is faster then a oven and makes them more tender. Enough Turkey.... Good Eating Monday: Peach Cobbler Dump Cake!

Yes, I tried another new Pinterest recipe and this one is a winner! The primary dictionary definition of a "Dump Cake," is an easily made cobbler in which cake mix is dumped over canned fruit or pie filling.  This recipe was pinned from Del Monte, which means it's been a recipe that's been created & tested in a corporate test kitchen. That's one benefit of all those label, can & box recipes provided by manufacturers on their product packaging. You can even buy cookbooks featuring nothing, but package & label recipes of which many are vintage. The only changes I'd suggest is add one more 15 oz can of fruit. It can be more peaches, cherry fruit cocktail, regular fruit cocktail or whatever you want. (So, I've noted 4 cans of peaches in the recipe.)   It just needs a little more volume on the fruit quantity.  And stir a teaspoon or two of cinnamon into the fruit! Good Eating Monday: Bacon, Cabbage Noodles!

This dish is a bloggers recipe from Pinterest: Bacon, Cabbage & Noodles!  It's a easy, tasty and an excellent side dish! It's basically a style of Haluski, which is the Slavic/Polish name for this dish, though they don't usually use bacon, but the bacon adds extra flavor!   Just cook up some wide noodles, drain, fry up a little bacon, then saute everything else together in a skillet and done. (I use Real Bacon Bits instead of frying up bacon, because it's less messy, so you can do that as well.) I think if you wanted it to be a meal, just thin slice in your favorite style of Kielbasa and add at the same time as onions to skillet. Creative Friday: Graduation Thank You Cards!

I've been working on quite a few new design lately. I usually work when I have a flow of ideas and this weeks it's been new ideas for my Graduation Design Collection ! Colorful Thank You Photo Card This one came out cute! It's a small 5 x 5 size card. I made the Thank You multicolor cut the heart shape out of the "o" in You, then framed it with double lines. Just add a photo and personalize the back message. I made it with Graduation in mind, but it could actually be used for any Thank You occasion---like a wedding couple photo added or a nice Happy Birthday party picture for a gift thank you.  Graduation Thanks Black/White Photo Card I created this one to match a 5 x 5 square Graduation Invitation with the same photo, but it'd be great on it's own.
