Garden Pic Wednesday: Feathery Plumes Against the Sky

Today's Garden Pic:
The first feathery plumes of Pampas Grass against the sky, pale gold in the sunlight!
 The sun was hitting them so pretty that day, I had to get a shot. Also, there's actually a lot of electric wiring running from pole to house on the other side and it was very tricky keeping that out of the photo!
The pink pampas is putting up plumes now, too, so I should have a shot of those next week!

Have your Turkey yet? I saw frozen Turkeys in passing carts last weekend when we were shopping. Do you cook a whole bird? Bake it? Fry it? Buy one ready-cooked or smoked? Good Eating Monday: Peach Cobbler Dump Cake!

Yes, I tried another new Pinterest recipe and this one is a winner! The primary dictionary definition of a "Dump Cake," is an easily made cobbler in which cake mix is dumped over canned fruit or pie filling.  This recipe was pinned from Del Monte, which means it's been a recipe that's been created & tested in a corporate test kitchen. That's one benefit of all those label, can & box recipes provided by manufacturers on their product packaging. You can even buy cookbooks featuring nothing, but package & label recipes of which many are vintage. The only changes I'd suggest is add one more 15 oz can of fruit. It can be more peaches, cherry fruit cocktail, regular fruit cocktail or whatever you want. (So, I've noted 4 cans of peaches in the recipe.)   It just needs a little more volume on the fruit quantity.  And stir a teaspoon or two of cinnamon into the fruit! Good Eating Monday: Bacon, Cabbage Noodles!

This dish is a bloggers recipe from Pinterest: Bacon, Cabbage & Noodles!  It's a easy, tasty and an excellent side dish! It's basically a style of Haluski, which is the Slavic/Polish name for this dish, though they don't usually use bacon, but the bacon adds extra flavor!   Just cook up some wide noodles, drain, fry up a little bacon, then saute everything else together in a skillet and done. (I use Real Bacon Bits instead of frying up bacon, because it's less messy, so you can do that as well.) I think if you wanted it to be a meal, just thin slice in your favorite style of Kielbasa and add at the same time as onions to skillet. (The photo is mine of my bacon, cabbage & noddles in my iron skillet.) Serves 4. Creative Friday: Graduation Thank You Cards!

I've been working on quite a few new design lately. I usually work when I have a flow of ideas and this weeks it's been new ideas for my Graduation Design Collection ! Colorful Thank You Photo Card This one came out cute! It's a small 5 x 5 size card. I made the Thank You multicolor cut the heart shape out of the "o" in You, then framed it with double lines. Just add a photo and personalize the back message. I made it with Graduation in mind, but it could actually be used for any Thank You occasion---like a wedding couple photo added or a nice Happy Birthday party picture for a gift thank you.  Graduation Thanks Black/White Photo Card I created this one to match a 5 x 5 square Graduation Invitation with the same photo, but it'd be great on it's own.
