Mama Kat Thursday: Something That Made Us Laugh
The Mama Kat prompt I've chosen this week is to, "share something that made us laugh."
There was a thing that made us laugh recently and we laughed because it was cute.
It happened at the Air Force Commissary where we grocery shop, which can be used by any U.S service member and their family. It may also be used by visiting foreign military of Ally countries, such as pilots here for a joint flying exercise.
Military service members wear a flag patch on the upper arm of their uniforms to identity their country of origin.
So Canadian, Aussie, German, Italian, French, Netherlands and United Kingdom military all come here from time to time and sometimes we see them in the Commissary picking up a few things for cooking or grilling.

Since the green jungle-camouflage uniforms (called BDU's) generally all look very similar, we have to depend on that flag patch to know who's who.
The thing that made us laugh happened in the chip aisle at the Commissary. As we walked entered the aisle, at the far end we saw a young military man taking a smart phone photo of the Pringle's.
My first thought was: why would anyone be taking a picture of Pringle's?
Then as we drew closer, I saw the Italian flag patch on his arm.
"He's an Italian solider," I whispered to Hubby. "I think he's taking a picture of those Pringle's!"
It was funny in such a cute, sweet way we couldn't help but start chuckling.
The Commissary has a ton of Pringle's. There were 4 shelves stocked full of Pringle's cans, all favors.
This is what the young man was photographing.
As we came up to where he was standing, I could see his thumbs thumbs flying over his smart phone keypad, busily posting it to Facebook or something.
Hubby said to him,"Would you like us to take a picture of you in front of the Pringles?"
He smiled shyly and giggled a little as he replied, "No."
We continued on our way, tickled to death, still chuckling over it.
Pringles are sold all over the world including Italy.
I watched a youtube video tour of an Italian supermarket and it shopped their chip snack aisle was short with only two kinds of Pringle's stocked and lots of bags of an Italian brand of chip.

So, it was the huge quantity of Pringle's in one place that was such a novelty! So,out there somewhere, right now is a photo of vast numbers of Pringle's sold by our Commissary.
Thanks for Visiting!
