Here's my White Pampas! 
It's putting on a spectacular show this season!




My Pink Pampas!
It's just getting starting! The blooms are such a pretty baby pink when they first open, then the sun bleaches them to a creamy tan.




And Our New Sliding Glass Door!
It's a shatter-proof glass, storm/wind resistant door. Also UV reflective. Same as the rest of our windows now. Plus a clear view out to the bird feeder!

Now this some wicked good dressing!  I tried it for Thanksgiving this year and everyone loved it! I've been looking for just the right dressing and I may have finally found it!  It's also healthy with a tasty combo of fruit, veggies and a mix of white & whole wheat bakery breads. It will fill a  fill a 9 x 13 pan.  You can use fresh or dried herbs. I've included the measurements for both. Just remember dried seasoning is more concentrated in flavor because it is dried, so you need less of it then fresh herbs. I have fresh Parsley growing outside and this was a great use for it! I found leftover over stuffing wonderful heated up and topped with a over-easy egg for lunch!  Apple Cranberry Sausage Stuffing Ingredients:  5 1/2 cups fresh European style or sourdough bread, white, sliced and cubed 2 1/2 cups wheat bread, whole grain sliced and cubed 1 lb ground pork or turkey ( I used Jimmy Dean's Turkey Crumbles, which was 8 oz and that worked great! ) 1 1/2

Good Eating Monday: Peach Cobbler Dump Cake!

Yes, I tried another new Pinterest recipe and this one is a winner! The primary dictionary definition of a "Dump Cake," is an easily made cobbler in which cake mix is dumped over canned fruit or pie filling.  This recipe was pinned from Del Monte, which means it's been a recipe that's been created & tested in a corporate test kitchen. That's one benefit of all those label, can & box recipes provided by manufacturers on their product packaging. You can even buy cookbooks featuring nothing, but package & label recipes of which many are vintage. The only changes I'd suggest is add one more 15 oz can of fruit. It can be more peaches, cherry fruit cocktail, regular fruit cocktail or whatever you want. (So, I've noted 4 cans of peaches in the recipe.)   It just needs a little more volume on the fruit quantity.  And stir a teaspoon or two of cinnamon into the fruit! Mama Kat Thursday: Punch You Out

The Mama Kat topic for today is, "Share a time you wanted to punch someone in the face." Maybe it wasn't so much that I wanted to punch her as throw a glass of water in her face.  A few years ago, while we were at large missions conference at a hotel in St. Louis, we had breakfast with a slightly older couple who are part of the same missions organization. We were just loosely acquainted, but since we both live in Florida, it was supposed to be just friendly connecting.  Now the wife of that couple, whom I'll call Sue for story purposes, is a professional, clinical counselor. Now I happen to know that one of the rules of counseling is the "3rd party rule," which means you keep conversation focused on the person in front of you ; not on someone else who isn't physically present. Garden Pic Wednesday: My Veggie Garden & Easter Lilies

 Today's Garden Pics: I've been busy getting ready for a trip, so a little delay on getting garden pictures up, but there they are: My Raised Bed Veggies Garden: This is what my vegetable garden looks like right now. It includes a tomato, 2 bush zucchini, 2 bush spaghetti squash that bears a smaller size then regular, purple bush beans and pad chai. There are 2 lettuce flowering in far bed, so they'll seed themselves and hopefully give me an abundance of winter lettuce this fall! The space at the end of the closer bed will be planted with more purple bush beans when I get back. At least one more row. Perhaps more pad chai. And I have a spot for one more zucchini. I've been eating zucchini for meals this week. It has a cycle of fruiting, then growing, then fruiting, so it should be in a growth cycle while I'm gone this week.   A little known fact about me is I was once was an active member of an Official Star Trek Club.  It was around the spring of 1988. My husband and I were living in Eglin Air Force Base Housing at the time and we saw listed in the personal ads in the Base newspaper that someone was seeking people interested in participating in a Star Trek Club. So, we were immediately interested and called the provided phone number. Turned out it was a couple right there in Base Housing. who only lived a few streets away from us, named Chris & Tammy. We promptly met them and soon we and a few others became regular Club attendees. To become an "Official Chapter of Starfleet," we first had to choose a name for our club, which was considered our "ship," then we registered formally with whoever managed the Trek Club regional chapters in Florida at that time.
